In the process of manufacturing, mixing plays a vital part in the process. Here, in mixing, the reactants are put into a mixer and mixed. When two reactants are mixed or reacted, we get a mixed product. This mixed product may contain our desired product mixed with some other elements or compounds. To get our desired product, that element or compound should be removed from the mixture. Separation processes are used to remove those unwanted elements or compounds. Amongst all the separation processes, the majorly used separation process is flocculation. In this process, some other elements or compounds are added to the mixture and mixed. These elements or compounds are called flocculating agents. While mixing, the unwanted elements or compounds react or mix with the flocculating agents. And then, they are removed to get the desired product. Inline mixers are the devices used to add liquid additives like flocculating agents, to the process. The power requirement of these mixers is very low, these mixers are easy to maintain and they self-pump so, an extra pump is not required. Especially, bypass is not required, they eliminate agglomerates themselves, create emulsions, and mainly, they have interchangeable work-heads. These are the reasons why inline mixers are more often spotted in industries.
